Τα 20 χρόνια της μαχητικής εμπλοκής των ΗΠΑ στο Αφγανιστάν δεν επέφεραν μια στρατιωτική λύση εκεί, και δέκα ακόμη χρόνια είναι απίθανο να το κάνουν. Η Ουάσινγκτον δεν πρέπει να είναι αυταπάτες. Όσοι επικρίνουν τώρα την απόφαση του Προέδρου να αποχωρήσει θα ρωτούσαν σε αντίθετη περίπτωση γιατί επέλεξε να παραμείνει.
