Ο ρωσικός αναθεωρητισμός εκδηλώνεται με διαφορετικές τακτικές, όπως στρατιωτικά στην Ουκρανία και την Συρία, με πολιτικό τρόπο μέσω της χρήσης πληροφοριών με ψυχολογικές επιχειρήσεις ή κυβερνο-επιθέσεις και διπλωματικά αμφισβητώντας το status quo στους παγκόσμιους θεσμούς. Η υψηλή στρατηγική της Ρωσίας επίσης υποστηρίζεται από την άσκηση επιρροής στις πολιτικές εκστρατείες ή την κινητοποίηση των πολιτικών τριβών και την υποστήριξη του λαϊκισμού στην Δύση.
